June 7, 2012 | By

Frederick, Md – Regent Education, the leading provider of enrollment optimization and financial aid management software solutions for higher education institutions, today announced it is the 2012 award recipient of the Service Provider of the Year for Frederick County by the Tech Council of Maryland.

Regent develops groundbreaking solutions for the higher education community. Its flagship products, Regent SNAP and Regent Enterprise, help students and post-secondary institutions navigate the complicated—and often confusing—world of student financial aid.

Regent SNAP provides schools with the ability to provide students with an answer to the question at the front of their mind: “Can I afford to go to college?” An undertaking that once took schools weeks to prepare now takes minutes—and can be done by students via an intuitive web interface.

Regent Enterprise is changing the way post-secondary schools process financial aid, giving institutions innovative, intuitive tools to automate and manage every aspect of the financial aid life cycle. Through the standardization and centralization of financial aid management, schools can achieve increased productivity, ensure compliance, improve student experience, and control costs.

“I am pleased to accept this award on behalf of the entire Regent team. I couldn’t be prouder of all the efforts they have made of the past year in continuing to develop world-class solutions while providing the highest levels of service to our partners,” said Randy Jones, Regent’s CEO, who accepted the Service Provider of the Year award at a dinner held by the Tech Council of Maryland.

“Frederick has been a great home to Regent over the past six years,” said Jones. “We’re looking forward to many more years of continuing growth and success together.”
