Milan Institute Selects Regent Education’s SNAP Solution to Streamline Financial Aid Counseling

September 6, 2012 | By

Frederick, MD –  Milan Institute and Milan Institute of Cosmetology have chosen Regent Education’s Student Needs Application Platform (SNAP) as the platform for their student financial aid estimator and Net Price Calculator (NPC).

The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2009 (HEOA) requires all colleges and universities that participate in Title IV student aid programs to post a net price calculator on their institutional Web site by October 2011. Regent SNAP more than meets that requirement—it provides even greater value as a fully customizable and flexible data gathering application that can be used to support enrollment and admissions teams as well.

“We strive to provide our students with the highest quality and most affordable career education possible,” says Gary Yasuda, President of Milan Institute and Milan Institute of Cosmetology. “When evaluating solutions to streamline our financial aid counseling process for prospective students, we wanted to find a solution that could be used by counselors and students alike to quickly gain insight into what financial aid options were available to each individual student. Regent’s SNAP solution allows us to achieve that goal while maintaining the highest levels of compliance within our schools.”

Unlike simple cost calculator widgets, SNAP provides estimates of awards and expenses based on federal assessment methodology as well as an institution’s specific financial aid policies and student cost models to provide exceptional accuracy and reliability in award estimates. In addition to federal aid, SNAP is easily configured to incorporate state and institutional awards.

“We are very pleased to have Milan Institute join our growing list of SNAP customers,” said Randy Jones, CEO of Regent Education.  “We are very excited to partner with Milan to provide their students with immediate insight into the affordability of continuing education.”
