Regent Education Announces Major Software Upgrade, Release 4.1 for Regent Award, Its Flagship Financial Aid Management Solution

April 19, 2017 | By

Frederick, MD – Regent Education, the industry’s only financial aid management solution to fully support non-traditional and traditional enrollment models, today announced the release of its 4.1 update to the Regent Award Financial Aid Management Solution. This release features usability and design enhancements, compliance updates, and a feature-consolidation initiative – resulting in a more powerful user experience.

“We resolve to proactively anticipate the needs of our clients and ensure that we are operationally and technically optimized to surpass their expectations – and the 4.1 release is one big step in this direction. It is the culmination of feature requests, compliance updates, and technical improvements – all that continue to drive toward our goal of innovating the financial aid experience for our clients and their students,” shares Ron Dinwiddie, Vice President, Product Management at Regent Education.

The 4.1 release introduces advanced functionality for managing modules. We are now able to support modules of varying lengths, overlapping modules, and modules that run concurrently with full-term courses. We now identify the module at its most basic level – a single course – to determine the student’s period of actual enrollment in support of cost calculation, expected family contribution (EFC), and return of federal funds (R2T4).

This release includes many compliance enhancements – the most significant being the inclusion of the Office of Federal Student Aid’s annual COD common record XML schema updates. “Our timely delivery of these updates ensures that Regent clients have ample opportunity to begin processing with the new COD schema when COD is ready to accept those records,” added Dinwiddie.

The 4.1 release further represents a feature consolidation which will provide numerous benefits including ease of use, increased transparency, and a normalization of functionality for our clients.
