Regent Access eliminates enrollment barriers for non-US citizens by delivering a user-friendly, responsive online experience that is similar to the FAFSA. In fact, no other solution on the market matches Regent Access' ability to support the process for undocumented students to apply for state financial aid.
As part of our commitment to ongoing innovation, we’re excited to share the latest enhancements to Regent Access—designed to provide greater flexibility in how financial aid staff support non-US citizen students and their applications for state financial aid. These updates reflect your feedback and our ongoing commitment to improving usability, flexibility, and visibility. Let’s take a look at what’s new.
1. Increasing Visibility Into a Student’s Experience
Regent Access clients now have access to Advisor Assist, a tool that provides financial aid staff with a real-time view of the student experience. With greater visibility into a student’s application experience via Regent Access, financial aid staff can better guide and support non-US citizen students through the application process for state financial aid and on their broader educational journey.
2. Bridging Digital- and Paper-based Applications
A new feature of Regent Access is support for paper applications. While many students prefer an online, digital, FAFSA-like experience, there are circumstances where paper-based applications are necessary. For example, incarcerated students—or students without access to the Internet. Financial aid staff can now create new students based on received paper applications and fill out an online application on their behalf. Then, financial aid staff can process the form within Regent Access, ensuring the application moves smoothly and efficiently through the workflow.
Student circumstances change all the time. Our latest release, also reduces complexity by making it easier for financial aid staff to correct a student’s application. An enhanced corrections process reduces time and effort for users by providing an improved workflow and clearer guidance, enabling staff to make updates and apply corrections quickly and efficiently. As a result, students can feel confident that their applications are always as up-to-date and accurate as possible.
Gaining access to state financial aid is a challenge for non-US citizen student applicants. But with Regent Access, colleges and universities can better support these students as they pursue their education goals.
