Parag Talekar
Parag joined Regent Education in 2003.
As Chief Technical Officer, he leads Regent's IT organization, including
the strategic design and deployment of the company's enterprise
applications. Parag is responsible for the technical architecture and
direction for the Regent Enterprise product suite. Parag is highly
regarded as a thought leader in the area of software design and
architecture. He also brings to Regent Education his passion for software
process improvement.
Prior to joining Regent Education, Parag was Chief Architect at LNK Corporation. At LNK he participated in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for increasing the effectiveness of intelligent tutoring systems (ITS) for education and training. At LNK he designed the architecture for a learning management system (LMS) that used LNK’s patented fuzzy logic based intelligent tutoring engine.
Prior to LNK, Parag was a graduate student at the University of South Carolina where he was actively involved in image processing and machine vision research. He wrote the software for a novel image processing system used to detect defects in Silicon Carbide wafers. Parag has a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pune, India.
