Bill Donnelly

Bill Donnelly is an accomplished sales, marketing and business development executive with more than 20 years experience in the software industry. Currently, Donnelly serves as Senior Vice President at Vocus, Inc., an industry leading software-as-a-service company that launched its successful IPO in 2005.

Prior to joining Vocus in 2002, he was Vice President of sales and customer service at CareerBuilder, Inc., a market-leading internet recruiting service. From 1995 through 2000, Bill Donnelly served as Vice President of sales and business development for Best Software, Inc. during its initial public offering in 1997 and subsequent acquisition by Sage Software in 2000. From 1989 to 1995, Donnelly served in sales leadership positions at Computer Associates International (CA). He began his software industry career in 1986 with Cullinet Software, the first independent software company to become a public company, which was later acquired by CA in 1989.

Donnelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and earned his MBA from George Washington University. He is active in the Washington, DC software technology community and is involved with a number of industry and volunteer organizations.
